Putting off the drop temporarily so I can put the money towards some wheels I have a potential deal on. If the wheels fall through, the drop will go on.

Been thinking a lot about doing some colormatching, but can't seem to find my color anywhere in a rattle can. I've checked all the local auto parts stores and online, but no luck. Any suggestions on where to look for some?

take it to a body shop they should be able to do it in real paint pretty cheap as along as you do all the prep work
Of course, as soon as I posted that, I stumbled on some online. Looks like 12.99 for 5oz or 24.99 for 11oz aerosol. Don't know what shipping would be.
Can I paint over chrome parts or should I try to get some smooth plastic parts? Mainly looking at doing the grille, bumper bar, and maybe some door handles.

painting over chrome doesnt turn out well.
if you are doing the door handles, grill, and bumper. please have a real body shop do it. they are too large of a item to do spray paint wise.

Probably a project for next year then. There is a local guy who sells OEM parts for cheap, so thinking about doing an hd grille with the front cm'ed. Can't decide on the rear bumper though.
spray paint will only look good on very small things, like the bowtie or small interior pieces that dont see a lot of touching
Take it to a shop. Color sand your shit and they can probably do single stage for cheap which is what I did
Well here's one of the trucks that makes me want to do it. I know its the 07-10 front, but its close enough.

I guess that's a good point. Mine falls victim to bugs all the time. Doesn't take but a quick drive to get them all over the place.
Trying to get motivated to get some stuff done before winter. Hoping to get the drop on soon, just don't have the time or funds.
These popped up on le Craigslist and seriously thinking about working out a deal on them. 22" Boss 315 with two new durun 305/40/22 and two tires that are OK. He's asking $600 obo. Here's the only good pic he has.

Thinking about trading my stock 18's for some boss 315 22's.
My wheels - nnbs z71 18's with 265-65 nexen tires. I would have to guess about 50% tread left. All the wheels have some curbing and a chip here and there but nothing horrible. One wheel does have about 1/4 of the bead curbed.
His wheels - Boss 315 22's with 305-40 durun tires. Two of the tires are basically new, but the other two need to be replaced soon. The tread barely reaches the top of Abe's head with the penny check. I'm not really sure on the condition of the wheels other than they have some pitting. He is supposed to try to get some better pictures tonight.
Is this a good trade straight up, or should some cash be going to one of us? He said his bottom dollar was 450, and I have no idea what mine are worth. I need as much input as I can get on these.

Well damn, he backed out of the trade. May just get some cheap 17's for the winter, sell my current wheels, and save for something better.
Saw these at Walmart today and thought they were worth a try for $20.
