BARBER's 2003 Chevy LB7 Duramax

You don't understand how badly you make me want to run twins.

Little more progress last night. Got all 12 of the torque convertor bolts in. Talk about a pain...using an inch drive breaker bar to turn the motor over and about three feet of extensions ran alongside the motor to torque the 12 bolts.

Then got got the downpipe in place. Had to trim a few studs on the firewall and one underneath for the heat shield.

Tonight I plan on drilling and tapping the hole for the turbo oil drain. Hook up the oil feed line AND THEN I can put the starter on and get the downpipe clamped down and exhaust hooked up.

This pic shows how low the ATS extra deep pan hangs.

I'll haul it up this afternoon and they will start on it tomorrow. Buddy asked me if I was interested in buying these wheels and tires. 18in. chrome MKWs and 33in. Grapplers. I may do it. Oh and by the way, that's his new ride, an 01 2500 Suburban with a LB7 Duramax and Allison swap.

For me driving gravel roads, I'll have Rhino Lining or Line-X on every one of my vehicles, much better than having annual paint jobs on the bottom half.

The shop will be getting my pickup in tomorrow to start working on it. They'll be closed January 1st and 2nd..sooo just to estimate, it should be done next week.
