06 GMC Build - I guess????

Yeah it is 85 to 85.

Got the switchbacks in, and I dont think i will be running them like that, since they are two different colors. The DRL is like an 8000K and these are probably closer to 4300/5000K

Switchbacks are from ijdmtoy.com and the DRL are some that I found at VatoZone.....they have really been stepping up with the LEDs and decent prices. Im toying the idea of selling the vatozone ones ( since I cant find the reciet for them, baaahh ) and getting a matching pair of LED from jdmtoy that are just white. They match my HIDs almost perfectly.

I'll have to take pictures at night and some how get em all to turn on and let the HIDs warm up, maybe it wont be too bad.

I have also decided to start saving for some NNBS GMC 20"s....hopefully come spring I will be able to start looking. You just cant beat the durability of OEM sometimes...

Yes but the tires are what I have the problems with. You'd think that being a big city stuff like that is easily available. Not so much. When my old 33"s I had on my s10 decided to end life by picking up a bunch of scrap metal on the highway, not a single tire dealer in the area had 33"s in stock....which is surprising since all the jeep queers around town with 33"s. Plus the added weight and mileage drops etc etc. Its all the same old BS excuses. Almost rather just do 20s and trails and be fine with it.

Welp one of my switchbacks is acting all crazy. when it first comes on, it fully lights, white and orange LEDs, looks brown in the lense, then it blinks white and irregularly. After the truck has been running for a bit, it turns all white, but doesn't blink orange. I need to try flipping it around again or perhaps my resistor is on the wrong wire. the pass side works fine.

So switchback had shorted and gone all crazy. They warrentied it, took their jolly ole time with it, then when I get the replacement one, they sent the wrong damn bulb to me :facepalm3:

I called them and they apologized and are sending me the right. Should be here this week.

THEN yesterday since its cold as crap, I go to drive home and it throws a CEL, code is PO449, stupid EVAP Vent solenoid. So hoping the parts department is open today, picking one of those up so I can replace it this weekend since its going to be 55* instead of the awesome 7 that it is now.

Filled the truck on my way home and after about 5 minutes of driving, CEL went away. A few on/off cycles and its still off, so maybe the weather was messing with it.

funny thing mine was on all summer and then i cleared it came on again and then just today it went off and stayed off drove my truck like 5 times today start and stop  i aint mad

Im not going to worry about it. All the emissions stuff is BS anyway, I have until this time next year to fix it since that when registration is due. SO...in conclusion...no fucks are given to PO449

I found the solenoid, its on the back of the tank. But no light since it first came on....moving on....

I actually washed the truck today :D However its got a sweet new scratch in the clear from a 4 door terrain yesterday at target, they put the rear door into the ext cab under the window, left about 3" of tan paint. I got all the paint off but there is a light scratch there still. So really considering buying the harbor freight polisher and then doing a full good clean this spring. I do plan to atleast clay the poor bastard in spring.

The correct switchback has arrived, so my truck is back to looking normal again. Its dirty as all get out, we got 14" of snow sunday and another inch or so last night. Its wont be clean for at least a month while all this shit melts. the plow birms at my house are 3-4 feet tall.

Stupid CEL came back on after I filled it up yesterday, so I guess I need to order the solenoid. Anyone have good place to get prices from? Dealer said 180 for relocation kit, Im sure it can be had for less.
