Not master, just wise. Lol I've had every hid mentioned so far plus a couple.. Nothing but trouble out of all them except my Morimotos
I've never have trouble out of mine... May have just gotten lucky :shrug:

It seems that you have the worst luck with everything..... Anyways, after reading reviews and such, I still think VVME is gonna be my headlight of choice. Ordering tonight

Unfortunately I have mono so I'm not allowed in the heat and not allowed to do physical activity as to not rupture my liver or spleen, so it might be a week or two before I install them. Been looking into radios. Don't know if I want to do a double din conversion or just go for single din. Single would look sloppy since the hole is 1.5 din, but money is an issue with going for double din. Any suggestions?

Installed the HIDs tonight. I'm pretty OCD about stuff looking right so it took me forever and a day to pick a spot to put the ballasts, but it's finally done.
Took everything apart so I could easily access everything.
Put the driver's side ballast on the outside of the storage box
passenger side on the inner fender next to the battery 
and finally the comparison! Halogens:

after adjusting them, I am incredibly pleased with the results. So nice to have pure white lights

Was tired of using a stupid FM transmitter to play songs from my iPod, so i have been looking into options. Double din dash would be too expensive, single dins just don't look right in OBS truck to me, and then I found the perfect solution. Bought an auxiliary audio input box made by PAC for $50. Also had to get a 1/8" to RCA cable from radio shack. This mod will only work if the OBS has the slave CD player in it along with the fm cassette head unit.
Pulled the truck in
Took the dash apart
Pulled the head unit out. Plugged using the connectors from the box to connect it to the CD player
tucked it behind the head unit, ran the auxiliary cable down through the dash and out where the ash tray is, and mounted the toggle switch to switch between cd and auxiliary to where the 4wd switch is on the z71s 
and it was as simple as that. Works as long as disk is in the CD player and radio is on cd mode. Sound quality is perfect and everything still looks OEM. Perfect solution as it was only $60 total and took 20 minutes to install. Would highly recommend to anyone trying to get aux in their OBS without buying expensive head units or dash kits.

Thanks bro! Yeah I just used the toggle switch that came with the kit, but I'm not too worried about people messing with it. And dash is actually navy, not black
i remember someone else doing the same thing, prolly the guy with the SAS gmc and the camper he rebuilt.
Well my awful Mastercraft tires are already cracking from Louisiana heat after about 2 years of being on my truck, so I'm looking into a new wheel/tire package. Original plans were just 17 inch factory 96 impala ss wheels, 
but I've kinda fallen in love with the KMC nova wheels. If I got them, I think I would go for 20x8.5.

Good grief I wish I could go that low. Unfortunately, as long as I live in West Monroe, I could never go that low. Roads are too bad to daily drive it that low
