I'd like ya'll to meet my chocolate lab, Bernadette. She's 13 and she's been with me most of my life. We got her extremely young, around 3-4 weeks if i remember correctly. She was never the most social dog because she was taken from the litter at such a young age, but was always fiercely loyal to the family.
Here's her as a real young pup
Fast foreword about 13 years, a few gray hairs later, and suddenly the puppy you once had turns into an old bird. These were taken a few weeks ago.
My mom texted me today saying that in addition to the lyme disease that she recently was diagnosed with, she has bone cancer. She was just diagnosed today and it hit me like a ton of bricks. She's on strong pain medication now but the doctor said she's got about a week or two. The worst part was my mom telling me ill probably never see her again. She was the best dog i could have asked for and i'm going to miss her like hell.

My male will be 3 soon too its crazt how fast they grow up! Hes been thru hell man and always by my side... my dogs help me coop with my ptsd if it wasnt for them id probably be in the pen.

Crazy the impact a pooch cna make on a person thats for sure.
Hes a mutt, Mostly lab, but alot of other random shit in there....bought him from a horse barn in the contry...best $125 i ever spent

man that sucks cody is getting x rayed next month to see if he has any signs of hip dysplasia
