My '01 ECSB Slow Build

Nice. I did the 05+ brakes as well with drilled/slotted rotors and the Russell lines. I also did Tahoe rear calipers. Braking is night and day difference from stock.
Thanks. Yea when the back needs to be done that'll be my next upgrade is Tahoe rears. The pedal is definitely firmer and it stops better than it did with my old light little 17s on it

My cousin was supposed to come by and help me do my underbed notch but he got called in for work. I decided to go ahead and do it anyway by myself.

Had a empty gas bottle so I had to go swap that out, got another empty one somehow, swapped it again and was full, figured out that my regulator was bad, swapped that out, still had really ****ty porous welds no matter what I did (practicing on scrap). I ended up calling my buddy and he brought his Miller 135 over and I did the whole job using it. Then one of my other friends came by this morning to help me figure out the issue after I had tried every single thing possible. We took the screws off and opened it up and the gas hose at the back of the machine had slipped off of the barb fitting that it goes on. Welds really nice now. I love it.

After I make some decent money for a bit, the plan is to buy a fairly cheap DD car to save on gas/wear and tear and drive that to work and pay off my school loans before doing anything else major to my truck

On a sidenote, I changed my Driveshaft center support bearing today. Was a pain without a press but everything worked out and it feels much better now. The old one had alot of slack and was worn out for sure. It used to pop quietly every once in awhile.

how are you so low without it?

Just bolt in mcg notch. It's very close to sitting in the notch with no air in helpers. When I had the 3" blocks, I had to run 30+ psi to keep it outta the notch but since I've gone to the nnbs blocks it will only bottom out in notch on bumps with no air.

Changed my transmission fluid and filter in the new trans recently. And spent some time organizing all my tools since I finally have somewhere to put them since I got my dad's old toolbox. I have more tools coming in but for now I got a good bit of it organized. Still waiting on socket racks for my tons of sockets lol.

Well I haven't posted on here in quite a while but here's a little update.

I purchased a 2003 ext cab Chevy s10 for $2000 to use as a daily driver. It needed it's fair share of maintenance done right from the start but I've replaced the entire front suspension, dropped it 3/4.5 and replaced all filters and spark plugs and wires and every type of fluid anywhere in the truck. The doors, bumper, passenger fender, and driver rocker panel need replacing but I'll get to that eventually. I'm driving it as is for now and getting my money up.

A few weeks ago leaving a truck show, the bolts somehow backed out of the right rear caliper on my Silverado and it fell off. So I'm waiting on part to do the Tahoe rear brake swap.

And just ordered wheel spacers to bolt some g8 wheels on my s10.

I'll keep yall updated. And I'll post pics asap.

So it's been quite awhile since I posted but alot has happened. Back in February I bought a 2003 Chevy S10 for $2000 to daily drive. I told myself I wasn't going to do anything to it since it had some dings and it's just a daily. Well you see how long that lasted. It was dropped on wheels in a month. I did a 3/5 drop using djm arms up front and blocks and pulled leaf (to mimic the zq8 leafs) in the rear.

I got a bumper from the junkyard yesterday and threw that on so it's on its way to being a clean looking daily

So on to the important stuff. My fullsize stays parked in the shop most of the time. I drive it about once a week, sometimes a bit less. But I love it more every time I drive it. It's definitely a treat now and I appreciate it more. Btw in the past couple months I did drilled and slotted rear rotors and tahoe calipers on my Silverado for some extra stopping power and to match the front. I also replaced the alternator with a brand new acdelco 145A because the previous one failed on me. Other than that it's been great.

Later this week I'll be posting pics of my new header install. I ordered 1-7/8 ceramic coated pacesetter headers. Why bigger headers you say? Because a buddy of mine wanted to buy my current set, and I bought a 6.0 that sitting in my shop. Yep you heard right. I'm building a LQ4 for this beast so ill have 1-7/8 headers from the 4.8 to throw on it when it goes in. Here's some pics:
