ITGuy's 2003 Sierra 1500/2500 4x4 RCLB Build Thread

Ahh so a custom bracket might be in order. Good luck!

Not sure what I am working on tonight. Buddy of mine broke down, so I might be doing some troubleshooting on a Honda.
I would rather be working on Big Red and getting it back together.

2nd Topcoat of black on Front frame. Cleaned up LCA's and painted them as well.
Pressed in 2 more new ball joints. Hot in the garage today, so I will go back out this evening.
Pretty happy with everything coming out clean.

I'll scrape down the brake line brackets and paint before re-install. I'll probably mount the new UCA's Monday, and mount the new diff brackets while I am waiting for steering parts this week.

Aluminum Bright works great but don't let it sit on your hands, it burns.

And I hate how the shiny diff looks behind a black kit so I painted all my front diff black so it blends in, something else to think about

Assembly but but still loose.

I also started cleaning the diff and getting new mounts ready to bolt on. Getting there very slowly.
plenty of installation work to go.

i put the nuts towards the top on ym BJ, i figured depending on clearance more room for the spindle

I'll fit it up and see if it can be serviced easily.

- Sprayed the diff with degreaser this am,
and going to haul it to the car wash to hose it down after work.

- Will grind surface rust off the CV Axles tonight and hit it with metal primer.

Doing a little review to see if there is something else i can install or bolt up while waiting for parts.

Holy $#!&!

My American Force Wheels just shipped! Committed Delivery: 09/11/2014
And the last parts I need for the steering and transmission will be here on the 12th.

This is totally going to light a fire under this build.....
