Does your steering wheel pop any? My intermediate shaft went out and it had a shake to it before it was replaced.

Ive heard those too but I figured if it was unbalanced wheels it would do it all the time when driving

not necessarily. i'd think once that unbalanced rotating mass gets going quicker, the wobble would become more pronounced than a slow speed due to the centrifugal force of that weight wanting to go in a straight line.

My tahoe shook BAD and at random times cause I had shitty tires, they didnt even come out as not balancing, they were just shit

Im gonna check it out, that would be a lot better than replacing a lot of steering components

Yeah, get up under there and see if you can grab and wiggle any of your steering components. Grab each different one and wiggle it back and forth with a decent amount of force, there shouldn't hardly be any movement at all. If nothing's moving, I wouldn't start replacing any of that.

The intermediate shaft is a good candidate, that's VERY common on these trucks. I know you said you don't have a pop, but what about a clunk in the column while turning and going over a bump when you're going slow? My truck had the clunk and it was slowly getting worse but not causing any vibrations or anything.

I havent noticed any clunking either..im gonna get my jack and get under it asap

it is gonna be the alignment or unbalanced,

my tires had a vibration from 40mph plus and it was just them not being balanced correctly.

Definitely gonna check that first..ill probably just throw my 17s on since I never had a problem with them on

Im beginning to think it really has to do with the wheel/tire..probably gonna trade for some vhos soon anyway so ill get them balanced right then.

Bought 2 new inner tierods this morning, gonna try to get them put on Sunday and check idler arm, pitman arm, etc.
