So my driver side seat was well worn after 170k mile of seat time. It basically felt like I was sitting on a toilet with no seat.
So I've been looking for a while on Craigslist and FB for a part out with a good condition matching seat. Junkyards rarely get these trucks in around here so little luck there. A buddy of mine owns a yard and was keeping an eye out for me as well.
Well, he messaged me last week that they got an 04 cclb in that matched but was a power seat. For the $50 he was charging me I figured worst case I'd just swap the cushion and keep my manual seat.
I pulled the seat (2 15mm up front and 2 11mm in the rear) and unplugged the connection. The female plug on the seat I was pulling had spots for three pins and the one I was putting in had five. The male plug on the truck had five so I plugged it in and it worked. I'm going back to get the passenger seat next weekend.

So some major updates that I dont have any pictures of at the moment, but Im posting anyway and will put them up later.
I finally got the body work done. Had both rockers replaced, both cab corners, the bedside rust repaired, the hood,roof,fenders and right side repainted. I also went ahead and spent the $400 on all of the weather stripping. I bought a new steering wheel (not on yet but will be soon!)
Next up I need to get a new set of tail lights, refinish the headlights again and this time have the sprayed with clear and I am going to replace all of the bumper plastics.
Thats it really for now. Wife and I had a second kid in January so with two now, most of my time is spent enjoying them why they are young and still like me!

This weekend was a busy one, new rear brakes and rotors, replaced the steering wheel finally and I traced down a water leak I was having in the back glass. Pulled the entire interior out if the truck to do so. And while it was out figured I would sound deaden the cab and relocate my amp to behind the back seat and pressure wash the carpet.
Glass should be fixed this week and next weekend I'll put it all back together.

So turns out it was a 1-2 punch with the water leak. Turns out it wasn't the glass at all but infact the body seam had a hole the size of a pick in it and the third brake light was leaking.
So I pulled the seam cover trim pieces (which btw are stupid expensive for what they are, my cost was $25/each, retail is like $40 something) cleaned the seam real well and filled it with seam sealer and epoxy. Put a bead of clear silicone around the mounting face if the brake light and let them both dry. Next day I doused the truck in water for 30 mins and not a drop.
Went and moved the amp to the back wall, and started putting it all back together. I cleaned and sanitized all of the duct work, detail sprayed the front and back of every trim piece, Scotch Guarded the carpet, seats and headliner while they were all out and clean as well. And in case you're wondering, yes you can run the jute padding in the washer and dryer and it comes out smelling like a spring meadow!
I will say in the 11 years I've owned this truck it's interior has never been cleaner.

I wish I had more to do the roof fully, but that can be done easily next time. I also heard it helps keep the car cooler, so theres added motivation. But yeah the improvement is very noticeable now i just need to get the re-engineered vent window clasps to seal off that road noise.
I did those last year! Just make sure you get LH and RH. IIRC you have to order them separate for some reason. But they work great and are easy to install.
And the style sound deadening I used is a really good heat shield. They're water proof and aluminum coated so I plan on using a few in my engine bay and getting rid of the corroded factory heat shields.

No I pressure washed the carpet and put the padding that is under it in the washer and dryer

I scrapped re-clearing the headlights in favor of new aftermarket clears and so far they're holding up well.
New tailgate hinges and strikers and it closes solid and tight
New center console lid (went black to pickup other highlights in the truck)
New rear calipers, and flushed the whole system with the Motive Power bleeder (highly recommend)
New windshield wiper arms
New flasher for led reverse and brake lights
New power steering cooler
New water pump, idler, tensioner,belts
Got the new bumper brackets in to fix the sag finally and currently iso new wheels, tail lights and bumper plastics. Also have under rail lights and a back up camera going in soon
Bout it for now, only a few test away from finally getting my Dual Master ASE certs and once done with them- aiming to become World Class - master auto/truck/body plus L1&L2 advance diagnostic.
Wife and kids are well, dog blew his ACL up a month ago, currently in PT for that.

Well, 15 years in the Northeast finally took their toll on the factory brake lines. Went and replaced them all with the stainless prebent kit and while I was at it, did the fuel pump to as it was original and looked like shit. Cleaned up all the surface rust I could, primed with a rust to primer and covered with undercoating before the bed went back on.
That's it for now, lots of big changes coming in 2020- personally, professionally but it's all good!
