2piece driveshaft

Ryan did you talk to Joey any about this? I know he did this to his crew before he sold it. Said it was really easy.
 
Little bit joeys method was a little bit different then what most people used. Think what I have should work.
 
lol yea. austin is looking into making one with those specs except out of DOM. so we'll see what happens.

Working on getting one out of DOM. have my sierra and a 2 pc shaft layin around...lol less weight, cleaner, he says easy and pretty cheap.
 
2-pc driveshaft

What size DOM tubing is he using? I sure hope y'all aren't making driveshafts out of 2" tube

But can get brand new carrier bearing from rockauto for $23

So does anybody got write up for swap, or dimensions for crossmember?
I'm picking up driveshaft tmrw and would like to do everything to prepare for swap so dually is only in shop couple days

ok i got mi driveshaft, going to be doing the swap next week, im trying to get new bearings at vatozone/oreillys, but theres like fucking 16 different U joints and 5 different carrier bearings to choose from, can anybody shed any light on this.... or how about dimensions for the god damn crossmember?
