04 RCSB Silverado Slow Build

You guys are why I am glad I chose this forum, Smart asses left right and center and Its funny as hell. I know I'll get flamed for comparing a dodge to a chev but my buddy had his exhaust dumped on his hemi and it was the raspiest not good sounding exhaust ive ever heard

Nothing wrong with comparing brands between Dodge and GM... but those aren't the variables that cause the rasp, and neither is where the exhaust is dumped IMO. It is more so the muffler/resonator set-up.

Just keep in mind that if you are serious about doing Long-tubes in the future, then you will need to change the exhaust then as well, especially if you ditch your cats.
Or just do it all together and set it up as a system that will work and sound good together.
If you ditch cats you'll need a good resonator to tone down rasp.

Haha drone depends a lot on the muffler itself too. I'm at 2/2 with a 3.5" aeroturbine dumped before the axel. It's on the louder side when accelerating from a stop and what not, but once you get to cruising speed it simmers down a lot. And it'll make your neighbor's cat shit itself at WOT. cruising 70-75 Highway it's at its quietest

I've always heard good about borla xr1 in the same sense, tame cruising but mean WOT

Thats what I want, at WOT I want little kids to be scared and old ladies to give me dirty looks, I would like long tubes in the future and I know when that time comes the full exhaust will be re done, Drone doesnt really bother me because its always music up haha. Just trying to plan ahead aswell since I will be going lower in summer and worried about clearance, youtube videos don't really help when deciding what muffler because every video even if its the same set up sounds different. Money wise I'm guessing dumped is gonna be the cheapest or just doing a direct muffler swap on what it is now.

Just install the Obnoxious button then, wired up to an E-cutout. It's that simple if you want to be annoying at times.
Otherwise I'd say the proven Corsa Sport with a Vibrant or SLP LMII resonator is my favorite combo. Quiet (and absolutely no drone) at cruising, nice lope at idle, and fierce at half-throttle or more. No cats or no resonator with the Corsa will sound like asthmatic bronchitis took a bong rip though.

So without cutouts and all that fancy stuff for now what should I get? Just muffler swap? New muffler and dump it with a tip? Side pipe? Hater stack out the hood on a gasser?

Dynomax ultraflow 14". You're welcome.

Really mellow when cruising and real aggressive at WOT.

Check out hondarider436 on YouTube. That's mine. Dynomax 17221

So happy early birthday to me got a flowmaster super 10 swapped in as oppose to the 50 that was on there, its still ran out the back didn't want it to loud maybe ill dump it when i go lower but exhaust can be crossed off the list of to dos

So the local chev dealer was having a sale on oil changes, and to my luck the change engine oil came on yesterday. It has also been 3000 miles since my last one. Got it all done and, 2 of my tranny cooler lines are leaking aswell as my power steering pump. So i guess I should get on those real quick. Haven't done any research on them yet but any tips would be appreciated thanks!

Well, whatever we recommend you will probably do the exact opposite of, so....

Please just get a lifetime warranty parts house knock off brand power steering pump. Be prepared to replace them every other oil change, but it's free, right?

Gotta find where your Trans cooler lines are leaking. Then JB weld or duct tape.

Would upgrading the tranny cooler lines to stainless be a smart idea? And I was told to get one with a life time warranty are power steering pumps on these that bad? Like he said mine was just starting to leak by the looks of it and the fact i was barely low on fluid. But every oil change?

Alright, that post went over your head.
You've asked for advice and tips/opinions here just a page or two back, then blatantly ignored all of it and did something else.

Factory power steering pumps are great and your best option at this point, short of shelling out cash for an AGR or some high performance unit.

I tried the lifetime warranty deal with Advance Auto Parts and will never again (have also gone through similar with other parts and vehicles w/ Auto zone and Oreillys). Changed 3 of their power steering pumps within about 3 months 2 summers ago. Still garbage. That's the catch with all their "lifetime warranty" bullshit remanufactured parts; they know you'll get sick of removing and replacing and just give up.
Big regret giving them my factory unit as a core.

As far as new lines, try to find out where they are leaking, if it is at a junction, or possibly from rubbing something else, or kinked somehow... or if it's from corrosion (like brake lines) which I doubt, then go ahead and get stainless.
