It's a '70, 250ci, 3OT. I didn't buy it, I'm getting it for free! As long as he keeps his word anyway, but he said it before and again in his email today "it's yours if you want it". Just have to find a weekend soon that works for me, dad, and them. It's my 2nd cousin's truck who got it from the original owner's widow. All original other than maintenance parts. The funny part is, he told me 3 different times that it was a longbed. Was SO excited when I saw the pics that it's a shorty stepper that originally had a wood bed

Good deal man, hope you get it! That's the color my dads was, but it has the white upper cab. I've got to think really hard on the one I've seen. Its about 3 hours away and it would need trailered back. As much as I'd love a swb truck, I know my dads would turn out nice and it has a v8 already.:secret:
Yeah I had already planned on and done research on shortening the bed/frame cuz he said LWB lol. I was giggling like a little kid when I opened up that side shot and saw it was a shorty stepper. The thing's in good shape too, just 3 small areas of rust that he's had "repaired" that look questionable in the pics but nothing that can't be redone easily. Other than that it's got the perfect amount of patina. It's been brush painted by the PO over the original paint so I may sand some areas down and then polish it up real good and come up with a "shop" logo on the door and numbers on the fenders for an old speed shop look, like some of the trucks I post in the "trucks you can't stop looking at thread". I wish it wasn't 6hrs away so I could go get it today
:shake: Thanks man. It's already mine, just have to find a weekend that works for everybody to go pick it up cuz it's 6hrs away. I forgot about your dad's truck, I'd definitely work on that one since you already have it. I've always loved these trucks, can't wait to start on this one
Yea, dads truck is the CST model as well, so its a better truck anyways. I'm gonna see if I can snag it for a bit this summer and see if he will let me tinker with it some and get the god awful brush guard off. I think were going to just do a resto-mod on it and keep it close to stock height. I'm excited to see what you will do with yours!

Thought about that, not sure I can stand the ladder rack tho. I'm uploading more pics and will start a thread, it's got a vice mounted to the other bedside, and electrical outlets wired right to the alternator :rofl:
