Loading it on trailer for inspection. .. snow made the tire slip off the ramp and the ramp has round stock in it to run a bar up to put the ramp up... that tore it a new asshole

False. There is no penalty for not renewing inspection on time in TX, no matter how late.

US at least CA has a 30 day grace period. they can pull you over and warn you for it. If you're a dick, its a ticket. Most times they scan it, if you've paid recently they DGAF.
