HOA's and some towns are strict with that kind of stuff. Even if it is in the driveway, they may say only x number of vehicles allowed in front of the house.

You have to have your vehicle in your driveway if you're trying to sell it. Yet my neighbor has an S10 parked on the street that doesn't even run and it's legal because he has a tag on it.

When I bought my house, I specifically looked for a home in a non HOA community. The city code just says that all vehicles in public view must be registered and insured. So I'm good to go
