Static NBS Thread 99-07c

So I believe the truck has drop springs on the front and shackles in the rear. I know it doesn't have a flip kit. But it looks lower than just shackles in the rear. How many leafs do these trucks come with stock?

Also do the escalade interior handles from the rear doors fit on the front extended cab doors?

Just out of curiosity, are 295/30R24s too big on a 4/6 drop? Particularly on a 03-06 crew cab GMC/Silvy...
Wheels would be x10 with standard offset for that size +30mm or so..

What I mean by too big is, any major cutting/tubbing involved?

Well, this is all hypothetical. But thanks for the responses dudes.
Been thinking pretty hard on selling the lifted brodozer, and getting real on the white truck.
In doing this, I would like to have another truck to pull a trailer, and just drive around.
Was thinking about a nbs crew with a nice drop, and move my 24" concepts over to that.

You could do 295/30s on a 3/5 no problem. I think youd rub a lot at 4/6 though. 4/6 on those concepts would be :skeet: though.

Newbie alert! Picking up a 06 Sierra crew cab this weekend. What is the best quality 5/7 drop kit to go with? Sorry, my head is spinning.......thanks!

Belltech or Mcgaughys.

Hit up Kristina at The Suspension Source and she can hook you up with a good quality setup and save you some money over other kits.

Look at our vendor section and The Suspension Source is a vendor on here.

I have the MCG 4-5 inch flip kit and it rides really nice. Its not as low as you want but its a nice little kit. I guess if I really wanted too I could put the factory rear hanger back on, and run 6", or add the drop shackles to the mix and get 7 to 8 inches of drop. I have a crew cab and if I had known better I would have went with a 3F and 6R drop on 275/45/20s. Instead I am running 3F and 5R and have about 1" of rake and I am running 265/50/20s. I also had to mini tub the front as there was not much room for wheel travel.

Do yourself a huge favor and measure your drive line angles before you do any lowering. Trust me on this one! I didn't and went with what I read would work and I have really bad vibes at 80+ and at WOT.

Not sure on the front. DJM make a drop LCA good for 3" then some drop spindles would get you 5" up front. Maybe there are other methods, but I never planned on going that low so I never looked into it. I have lowering spindles and stock springs from a ECSB 1500 and my total drop was 3.25". Rides as good as factory if not better, and no bump steer!

Good luck! Post some pics when you finish it!

Theres a lot of info to confuse you! I am doing the same on an 05. There is some helpful info in the thread I started "long time listener first time caller!". I want the 5/7 McG but may end up with the 4/6 after talking to some on here. Seems coilovers are the best but they are pricey!

So I added more drop to the truck. Was sitting at 3/4 before I believe. Springs up front and rear hangers and shackles. So removed the shackles and added stock shackles. Kept the drop hangers and added a flip kit. Yes the truck has a c notch. But now my problem is the rear bounces like a mf. I figured 2" hangers and 6" flip kit is 8" drop. Looks good. But what shocks do you guys recommend? It currently has air shocks. No clue on what brand bought it with them on. Should I replace the shocks or add shock extenders?
