Seen in a video one time they said not to use grease, because it is petroleum based, as is the little rubber boot on the pin. Some science shit happens and ends up causing it to freeze up again quicker

i use the grease they sell at napa for it, comes in a toothpaste like tube. made just for that.

grease also doesnt dry out rubber.
