That's where I stopped for tonight. Still need to order new motor mounts, clutch, flywheel, hydraulic fluid and that should be it. Gonna do some cleaning up of the bay, run the wiring for my efans, and do the big 3 wiring upgrade.

Super stoked that we got that out. One big hurdle down!

Thanks man! His back has been out of whack so he hasn't been able to help much. I had him swinging the mini sledge last night and he had a good time lol.

Yes. Gotta hit it with degreaser and then scrape and coat. Not gonna be bgray clean, but it'll be much better than it is right now.

Both local tuners I've contacted apparently can't be bothered to work with me to get a base tune so I can run the truck at home and check the vitals before throwing it on their dyno....even when I offered to pay for both upfront to "lock in" my dyno tune so they didn't think I was gonna flake.

One shop said he has no way of getting me a base tune, which is BS. He uses HP tuners and I have the VCM Suite...not that hard to do. He recommended another shop that deals mostly with GM's. I contacted them via email and voicemail a few times and no one has gotten back to me.

Hopped online and contacted PCM of NC based on a lot of great reviews on pt.net. Email them what I was looking for and they got back to me within 30 minutes.

I am leaning towards them unless anyone has suggestions on someone else?

I bought HP Tuners VCM Suite std version, so I have that to work with.

hmmm.. wonder if my local tuner can get you a base tune via email...
 
Who is your tuner?

Pcm of NC said they can do it. I would get a wideband and upgrade to hp tuners pro so I can log that and they can dial it in better than just your standard obd2 log.

look up justune llc on facebook. I messaged him. probably the best ls tuner in mo/ks... he beat big chief on tv on street outlaws lol

Was gonna say the same. Good to spend the time with your Dad wrenching. I miss that time with my Dad working on stuff at his shop. Now, married with 3 kids, we're always so busy I don't get that time and all those late nights and wknds in the shop with him.

Nice progress BTW! :thumbsup:
