Forgot to update, I got the new tie rods in on Saturday. The weather has taken a turn for the worse and my sons birthday is this weekend, so not real sure on when it will go back under the knife.

After talking to SamCarroll about the issues he had with this particular tie rod kit, I've decided to change up the hardware some to increase the life of the heims. With the current hardware in the kit, both heims ride on threads. Over time, there is the potential that they will wear out the threads and the bore of the Heim, creating slop in the steering. Since I bought this kit from another member, I'm handling the fixes myself instead of dealing with FFR.
On the inner side, I will be switching to a shoulder bolt that has a smooth shank through the Heim. I just need to order them and that issue will be solved.
On the knuckle side, I decided to make new mounting posts (relatively easy since I work in a machine shop). Instead of just replicating the existing bolt, I reduced the Heim end of the mount from 3/4 to 5/8 and added an additional inch in length. This will allow me to use misalignment spacers, allowing for more extreme angles and greater range of motion. The extra lenght will also give me more adjustment if needed to correct any bumpsteer. I'll be using the same style nylock jam nut with a safety washer for the top and will use the existing hardware for the bottom. Here are the new posts. They will be getting a black oxide coating as well.

I got all the additional hardware in today and since we got an unexpected chunk of decent weather, I'm moving forward with the install tonight.

Last night I was able to nock out everything on the front end. I ended up setting the bilstiens at 1.18 and leaving the 2.5" level. I got the heims installed too.

I still need to do the back, but this is how it sits for now. Front is measuring out to 40", meaning I got 1.5" out of the bilstiens and a total of 4" of lift. Everything seems to be operating smoothly and doesn't ride too harsh right now. If I run into any issues, I'll pull the upper spacer, dropping it back down to 3.5". Since I gained more height than I thought I would, I plan on going with a 3" block in the back, giving me .5" of lean.

Love the setup, what's the big deal with tie rods tho, why do a lot of people go balls out with them?

For my situation, I switched to heims for the increased angle I could have with them. Sam might be able to explain further.

if you need to replace the TRE's anyway, might as well go with the heim. I desperately wish heims were cheaper for my foreign POS. $790 for a set for me :uhoh:
