07 classic vmax build thread

Yup, time for a posi unit. Do you at least have any ballasts? If not just order a cheapo kit to get the retro done then upgrade bulbs and ballasts later.

Look up Spartan lockers, made by USA standard gear, same idea as a true trac but much cheaper. Don't know if they make one for your axle though..

Getting a progressive controller? Why you have traction issues now?

No not progressive, just a fancy WOT switch. You need one for DBW throttle bodies. I kinda like the button though. So I might just stick with it and the lnc-2000 to pull timing so it's not running super rich around town with the bottle off

Ya definitely sounds like the g80 is messed up, I put a detroit locker in the rear of mine for all the mall crawling I do :cheeky:

Spartan locker is NOTHING like a truetrac. truetrac is a limited slip....Spartan is a locker

Maybe I got it confused with something else USA standard gear sells, I thought the Spartan was a worm gear style like the true trac, guess I thought wrong

Bump because I spent entirely too much money to fix this thing, hope to have it on the road once everything comes in.
Ordered-
BTR dual .660 valve spring kit
BTR trunion upgrade
ARP head stud kit
Ls9 head gaskets
Morel 5315 lifters
Lifter trays

Hopefully nothing else. We will see as I dig deeper into it
