06 GMC Build - I guess????

I bought my zr2 full knowing that the s-series break ext cab door handles like its going out of style. First one broke like 6 months after owning it. No big deal, the stock one was 5 years old. 2 months later, crack! there went handle #2. Well thats stupid. 3 months after that, crack! another broken handle. OK screw it, time to buy the aluminum one.

So you can imagine how i felt when i went to open the door and it went pop! the literally said, son of a bitch, these are zr2 problems, not sierra ones.

I broke my first extended cab handle about a month ago, after the truck being 12 years old lol

But you better check on the racelines, because my buddy ordered a set of 8 lug last week from summit and they called him back and said they're discontinued now.

Im not SUPER concerned about the wheels. I'll probably just do spacers.

Anyone have any good recommendations for where to buy window tint? any brands or stores on ebay worth a damn? I want to put some 5% over the back 3 windows.

I just go get mine done lol.

I've always had 3m tint on my trucks and it holds up really well. I'd look for that.

The back windows should be so easy to do I cant bring myself to pay for it. Calling tomorrow to see what one place will charge for it so we'll see. if its cheap enough i'll just say screw it.

Door handle done. Those are SUPER easy. Unbolt broken, bolt in new. latches were lubed while apart.

Swing Case is in. Again, super easy install. First time Ive ever had self-drilling/starting bolts actually work decently. Now that its in, thats a damn slick tool box. Im very happy with it. All I need to do now is get a lock for it so it stays in my truck.

Install was a breeze right? Mine took a bit longer because I used bolts instead of the self tapping screws and also had to add spacers on one end because the shock from the cover hit the box.

Yeah was WAY easier then I was expecting, considering your making holes in metal. That always seems to be a pain in the ass. Thanks to GM for thin bed sides i guess haha

Second set of switchbacks showed up last week. Once its not snowing and balls cold i'll probably do the drl to turn signal mod.

Also found this picture i took of it a few weeks out at the property

and other reasons why it'd be nice to get fully corrected, but also ruined quickly

Such a great color, definitely one of my favorites. Looking good man. I bet you're thanking yourself for installing the heated seats right about now!

Thanks, its almost the same color as my old tahoe, which is why i kept going back to it when I was looking. And heated seats have been a godsend!!! haha. These past few mornings have been slightly less terrible while driving to work.

wish I had heated seats :okay:

DO IT!!! It only took me like an hour and a half to do both seats and install it. Best mod ever!!**

**MH1 retro is also a close first, ha!

Well the DRL to turn signal is done, stupid switch backs are different colors even though I ordered the same ones ( damn it )

i have some 2" spacers sitting in my watch list on ebay...99 bucks and free shipping....i need some bad influencing to actually purchase them. Tint should be getting done in a week or two, gotta protect them baby eyes haha.

It's only $100, you know you want them. Just press buy now, it's really easy.

:cheeky:

Was that good enough?

Nice! Looks good man. The renegades are a good looking wheel, almost got them for my old truck. I vote those over spacers

*not sure what page you showed your gauges on but that's where tapatalk started me at. So ignore me lol
