05 CCSB slow build

gingy, plan is to get shockwaves for the front. Rear already has helpers hooked up to valves :datass:

other than that, no major plans for now...needs brakes and tires, thats about it.

So i recently got under my truck because I was feeling a clunk coming to a stop and taking off...looked at my ubolts and they were covered in gear oil....more so on the driver side than passenger. I cleaned off the oil, took off the bolts (Very loose, btw) and this is what I found.

Looks like the axle was turning up and down on the saddle...mostly up since when u get on it, the yoke wants to point up....so it turns the axle and the rear (Close to bumper) saddle makes contact with the oem spring perch.

Has rust, so Id imagine it wasnt touching it much.

Now, the moist bolt was on the back side, bolt closest to the frame. This is the perch weld that I think got pulled and is now the source of the leak.

Notice the wear marks where it was rubbing the flip kit saddle.

So the plan now is to get rid of the belltech kit and run the McG, but Im going to have the saddle welded to the axle.

Current Belltech kit pulls down on the axle tubes.

McG kit uses the oem perch and bolts to clamp down on the axle

Id much rather have the flip kit use 2 plates to try to keep the axle from turning (McG) rather than one (BT).
Having the flip kit saddles welded will prevent this shit from happening again.

I think the bolts stretched after I towed all the tile in the pics I posted some months back. The BT ubolts were beefy as fuck (5/8...Tyler owns them now) but they were too short to use with my helpers so I bought some bolts (9/16) at vatozone and cut to length.

Im hoping that the oem square bolts will hold up better than these autozones and my mexirigged saddles dont fail me.

Any input or ideas how you would do it?
