I would not want a 4l80e in any n/a truck, the higher first gear and od will make driving it less enjoyable, plus because of the 4l80's heavier internals and torque converter it makes the truck more laggy when taking off. Stick with a 4l60e, which will be a direct swap. I'd try to find an engine and trans pair out of a wrecked truck, maybe even the wiring harness and computer too, it would make the swap that much easier. I think you will need a new radiator, shroud, hoses, too

what is this said trick?
From his video, donuts in the snow lol.

Agreed with Fuso. Find a complete motor/trans/wiring from a wrecking yard and have the shop just go through it to be sure, throw a cam/converter in it and do a mild build on the trans so it holds up

the 5.3's come with 4l60e's as well, in reality, instal wise a built 4l60e will hold up to a built 6.0 and be easier to install, just cost more, a stock 4l80e will hold up to the power as well, but is more of a pain to install, and will cost less. depending on if your going it yourself. also since you have a RCSB, you will prolly need your drive shaft cut to length with the 80e

Cool thanks for the help dudes. So looks like it will def be a 4l60e then. Any bonus to going 6.0 vs 5.3 on the street? obvi 6.0 makes more power, just wondering if its worth the extra cash.

I was going to do a new raditatior with e fans too while im in there. Any shop recommedations? I know khp does it right?

Yes 6.0 is worth the extra money. Not only do you start out with more power, but they take to mods much better than the 5.3
They will net you much more power than a modded 5.3

What Texans considers "snow"...
Imo. Shit was a solid sheet of ice monday. Melted yesterday afternoon. Actually snowed this morning. Melted around noon. Wtf lol.
So sick of winter. At least the sealant is doing its job...

Imo. 6.0/60e swap with cam, lts, gears, stall, efans, tune. Grab power seats/door equipment and harness since you are replacing computer. Sell truck to me. Prawfit. :shake:

I'd give you a pretty penny for it in a year or so if it had power doors. Not as concerned aboot seats cause would do bencg swap :secret:

Not shedding water worth a fuck and still has some haze left on the paint from the residue that I can't get off. Truck should be going to Justin before the summer for a complete correction and beeds. I just wanted to see what I could do with it. I'm going to try to get him to wetsand it too.

Dat WGDGPS 3.0 Imfo tex
And if you have to do a correction every 6mo, you have an issue, and you aunt finna have no clear to correct

This is probably the first time truck has ever been polished and only my third time polishing so I wasn't expecting it to be perfect. Products can't do all the work and I'm not a pro so to have flaws left is understandable. I've planned on Justin doing his thing for over a year, just never been able to line it up.
