The DB was great while stock but nastybad with just headers. My truck had the 22" magnaflow when I added cam and heads, its still too loud.

My opinion is based off my buddy's 11 second procharged SSS... He had a corsa muffler and it sounded great. Then he took the cats off and it was terrible. If you run the corsa and a resonated it will sound great I'm sure. Now he runs 2 oval xr-1s. I also have an Xr-1 on my fbo cammed lq9....

You just run 1 muffler Ryan? Ive heard borla does a good job as a second muffler, looking to add a 14" in series with my Magna.

That should sound very nice. I had xr1 with my headers and a 12" bullet in front and it sounded amazing but too quiet
 
MY truck currently runs a round xr-1. I just don't like its overall tone, personal preference.

I have LTS, cats, and Corsa DB when I first built it....agreed it was terrible. However the DB is a totally different sounding muffler.

I'll do the Corsa race muffler, then try with the resonator and go from there. I've never been happy with how this truck sounded after building the motor. Had Corsa DB with cats, Cats and magnaflow, cats and smaller magnaflow, cats with oval xr-1, cats with round xr-1, and now no cats with round xr-1 lol.

Looks like im just picky...
 
I just run an oval xr1. When I redo the exhaust I'm gonna do 6" bullets I have to look like cats then do a single oval xr1 with an electric cutout before.

Oval xr1 has a great sound.
Definitely different than a MagnaFlow or anything else.
I have a 12" bullet up by my y pipe and no cats with the case style xr1
