dad came by and put the vette servo in. when he came back he said he about shit himself, he was doing about 30mph and it downshifted to first chirping and chirped going into 2nd lol.
he told me to tell anyone deciding to put one in. when you are trying to pull the cover off, grab the blue o-ring and pull down on it(he used dentist style tools that are specific for transmissions), it will negate falling into where the c-clip ridges are and just pop right out. lot easier than prying at it.

Thanks guys, I just used paint thinner in a spray bottle, coarse steel wool, some blue shop towels to clean up, then sprayed it with some of the industrial rustoleum Semi-gloss black that dries in 15 minutes. Its out being aligned ATM.
must be my dad had the tow haul button on because normally it holds on a 30mph drop full throttle through to 3rd gear. very firm in 1-2 and pretty good 2-3.
i also used that industrial rustoleum semi gloss but i put a few coats of eastwoods rust encapsulator under the rustoleum. its been holding up great it has faded a bit but still looks better than the nasty shit it comes with.
