Oh I can imagine..closest thing I've driven is a zl1 and hpe600 camaro and they were fun but I know nothing on a zr1

What about the escalade trucks, it's about the same size, deff shorter than the regular esky and has the same rack

I say leave it black but if you do paint it keep the end caps black..I think it would be too much white if it was all colormatched

I was going to paint the bars black and then possibly the end caps white.

Like the ones similar to the avys? Not sure I wanted it to be as close to factory looking as the ones that come on the NNBS

I'd leave it black too, one less thing to worry about chipping in the future. Especially if you do happen to put anything up there.
