Hey guys, hit up the salvage yard today and found a hydro boost set up.
It's
Booster
Master cylinder
Lines
Brake pedal
All for $180
I think it's a good deal besides the fact that its 13 degrees and I have to remove it myself.

Next question, is there anything I need to do to it before installing it? Or do I just take my old shit off, and install the hydro post stuff?

Another plus today. I was going to have to face it that the only tools I have at the house in at is basic wrenches and a dewalt drill, so id have to travel across town to our shop to get tools and return them the next morning. Today that changed. We went over to my fathers friends house for dinner yesterday because he got promoted at work. His wife surprised him with this gigantic stacker of a snap on tool box fully loaded. After dinner, we sat and talked about my truck and the plans and I had mentioned the tool shortage problem and he said he might let me borrow his old box and old tools. Well, this morning I woke up and went to get in my truck and was caught by a note on the shield that said garage. I went out to the garage only to find my fathers friends old box sitting in the garage. Gave him a call and he told me not to return it. I am so greatful to him. Literally made my life a whole lot easier.

You have no idea. He saved me so much money, so many headaches and so much trouble. The box has everything. 3/8 an 1/2 drive ratches and impacts, air hammer. I literally cried. I figure if I ever get my own big boy box I can give this one away. I know it sure changed my life.

that would be cool, build your tool collection to equal or better the one you have now and pass on the box and tools to someone that needs tools

what brand are the tools, if he gave you snap on or mac stuff, im jelly. that shit is expensive.

All the tools except the box and the metric wrenches are Mac. The metric wrenches are craftsman and the box is some off brand.

Taking his wife and him to dinner tonight to show some gratitude. Dude really has no idea how much that helped.

Picked up some 2600 bags with my ekstensive kit earlier this week,
Then today I finally finalized the order on my stuff from avs, my kp 6 link with watts, slam re 7s, a full skin combo and some other miscellaneous stuff. Then hit up ak rubber and got some 1/2 ptc fittings and a T and a Schrader valve so I can so up the truck and move it around the shop.

Someone local told me I should ditch the PTC fittings and go with compression fittings. Any experience with this? The accuair kit I'm getting comes with PTC fittings so I figured it is what I should get...

Got the bed unbolted
Stripped the interior.

I say go with PTC's. I have compressions now and will be switching to PTC's when I get a vu4. Compressions are a pain in the ass to change imo. The only issue I know of when it comes to PTC's is if you don't do a straight cut on the line they can leak/not seal properly. Did you get the dash cage out? The first time I done it, It took me a few hours. Second time I had it out in a few minutes.

Cool, I figured if accuair uses PTC fittings, they should be alright to use. Yeah I heard that as well, ill just make sure to cut them as strait as humanly possible.

Yeah I got the dash cage out. I did the manual lock and window to power conversion on my 4x4 and it took way longer that time. Had it out in about 30 minutes this time.

Also just got a call from the shop and they said all my kp stuff was there and is ready to pick up, so I'm going to have a busy weekend.

Haven't decided if I want to get my arms and kp stuff powder coated or just leave it black..

Getting towed to the shop so I can start on the EKMW front kit. Hopefully the front will be on the ground this weekend. Maybe the back too :secret:

looking good man. and thats badass of your dads friend to do

Thanks. Yeah he's a bad ass. Went over to his house last night and he was unloading a new project. A 59 Cadillac vert that he's going to do air ride on.

Also, I messaged EKMW and they sent me out bushings faster than I said wtf. Great customer service once again.
