Northern Alberta Canada but yea. Those 6" oval boards sure protect the body from rocks. If I had a new truck Id be tempted to put them on for winter to save it from chips.

can anyone tell me the purpose of a trans shim vs a pinion shim? it just shims the other end of the driveline. and im pretty sure its a few bux more then pinion shims?

Not 100% positive but pinion shims go between the axle and leafs where trans shim goes between the trans and the crossmember.
