So, educate a lowered dummy.

2004 Crew Cab. Just doing 2/4 right now...I DO NOT want to notch. I plan to run helpers.

Money not being an object when it comes to comfort and drive-ability...besides air ride of course, suggest some things.

Leafs vs. flip kit

coils vs. spindles

helpers

shocks

for 2/4, you will want helpers. I'd go all MCG, that way the parts match and will make for easier installation.

I'd do:

17+ MCG 2 inch drop spindles
MCG flip kit with 2 inch lift shackles
MCG helper kit
BT Nitro Slammer shocks. I love mine.

Also digging for 2/4 crew cab pics, if anyone has them, please post them too.

I know you all will say 3/6 blah blah blah, not going to happen right now. I may not keep the truck, but until I decide I will not notch it. That should be self explanatory.

fucking WIN

2/4 with centerlines (same as vho)

fuck that looksso good

do spindles over coils, that way it keeps all stock spring rates.

if i were gonna do a 4" drop but plan on going lower later id do a flip kit, and a 2" shackle. that way it leaves you room for movement down the road. plus again keeps factory spring rate.

That's the biggest thing. If you plan on going lower down the road.

No
Spindles
Shackles
Hangers

Yes
Spindles
Flip Kit
Lift Shackle

Good Shocks

^ x2..when I had 2/4 I hated that shit with hangers and shackles.rides like shit and alot of bump steering with 17" mcgaughys spindles....go with 16"mcgaughys spindles up front and flip kit/lift shackle imo

Would definitely recommend 16" mcg spindles, I had to do a shit ton of grinding on mine.wish I wouldve just done them to start with

I thought the same so I went with the 17+..still not sure on all differences, I know you gotta flip the bj

There was nothing special done on my 17+ mcg's. unbolt old, and bolt up new.

Being my truck is 4x4 I had to do a lot more grinding, I had to grind the upper bj down to the nut to clear the cv axle and had to grind the lower bj down to the nut and it still rubs the inside of my rim when I turn full lock either direction, also lost a lot of turn radius. Will be nodding to regain some

Do not want to buy new shit and "mod" just to go low. IMO if they can't get it right on a single application I will just deal with stock height. Seems dumb to buy a part only to fab it to work.

I want to go 2/4 to see how I like it, and if it isn't too bad and seems like 3/6 will be fine, later down the road I will.

and I have those shocks now, and they are either REALLY stiff, or fucked up. Been trying to get them warrantied. About to throw them in the fucking trash and buy a new brand. Been holding out since I've been thinking about doing low.
