Little update, i sold my Tepui and went to a CVT extended tent. Only difference is brand and there is a 3' extension over the ladder. So when my annex room is installed i have 3 more feet to move around in. This tent is grey instead of camo, as well.

I also swapped out my cooking lights to red, as the white attracted bugs terribly bad. I should have known better. I also added rock lights to light up camp a bit while im set up. Will eliminate the need for a flashlight or headlamp around the vehicle at night. Red light does not attract bugs and also helps with night vision while in the dark.

Giant can't take a joke. But seriously trucks run fender LEDs on the freeways in HTX. Last camper was a 27' with LEDs galore. Gotta go glamping when you got kids.

I was close to buying a travel trailer. Wife really wants one because her cousin and grandparents have real nice ones and we could easily find spots where we go most times. But I prefer (right now anyway) to go where most people can’t for now and set up camp. Until we have to get one in the future.

I have one. And after having one, I'd just like to go back to the renting thing. The thing that I disliked about renting was the scheduling. With your own, its packed and you come and go as you wish..or so you think lol.

As for maintenance, it's just like a boat really. Keep it clean, keep it covered, keep tires on the trailer and keep the gel coat protected. As long as it's not old you wont have issues. Just like a boat. My boat never gave me any problems. Change the impeller every other season, change the oil once a season.

Yeah her family has had them for awhile now. Always go use it and keep it clean and no issues with gelcoat either. He comes home late and they leave for the weekend all the time.

After working for so many years out of town and in hotels. I like to substitute a nice park and my 5th wheel for a hotel room. It is absolutely not any cheaper if anyone tries to ever convince themselves of it by the way lol. But it's my own space with my own shit and my own bed and I can bring the dogs without hassle.
Storing them and waxing is the biggest bitch of owning one imo

Bought and mounted my full size matching spare this weekend. Along with purchased a friends ARB 50qt fridge for camping. Wired it up yesterday and ordered a slide out/tilt fridge slide to sit above the left drawer. Camping season is coming.

Purchased a HAM vehicle mounted unit, it has a removable face so i can relocate just the faceplate to where i can easily see/use it as the whole module is single din sized. Will be much nicer than my cheap Beaofang handheld i've been using for trails.

Also purchased a sliding and tilting fridge slide. As the fridge sits too high on the drawers, this slides out then tilts down so i can access the fridge for ice cold brewski's.
