Thats not a bad combo or bad price. It will take good photos. Didnt you have a rebel xt to start with? that would feel familiar in your hands atleast. the 7D is going to be about 2x that size and weight

Yeah i had the XT super basic SLR before.

How much would you pay for a T2i or T1i with similar lenses? theres quite a bit out there and dont wanna get bamboozled for me cash. Im not jmo rich :read:

Well the 55-250 goes for about 140 used these days, the 18-55 somehow still gets like 70-80 bucks, so yeah. You could buy that thing, part it out and come out ahead haha.

The t2i is a much better step up from the XT series, more features to explore. the 55-250 is a good zoom, I used one for a long time, until i got too overly serious with photographing birds and bought a 400.

It's all good, I just wanted to get them posted cus they came out really good for a ~10 minute shoot when I was still groggy lol
Yeah no doubt. The icing on the rupes work on the paint imo. I love how it gets so clean though. Like liquid paint.

that local deal fell through.

Won a Canon T1i with 18-55 lens and says 45mm macro lens with hood and all original equipment, two batteries and a 64gb card also has a carrying case. $200 has a very low shutter # and looks brand new.

ill take that. Should have it soon, excited to have a "newer" camera again.

i use photoshop but i want to learn lightroom.

Thats nothing to complain about!! Im curious what that "macro" lens, maybe you will get lucky and it will be a 50mm compact macro. that'd be neat

looks like a cheaper 46mm wide angle lens.

Lightroom will make you wonder why you've used photoshop for so long. The two are meant to compliment one another though.

LR is geared towards batch edits and general edits on photos, whereas PS is for the nitty gritty side of things, like layering, background replacement, and a whole bunch of other features I don't know about.

I need to watch some video tut's so I can get the hang of it. I automate batches on PS but Lightroom probably could do it easier.

Yeah, never tried it in PS but LR makes it stupid easy. Literally CTRL + CLICK all the pics you and to batch edit (or CLICK + SHIFT CLICK) and click sync and everything you do to one is done to all.

I could fully wrap my head around LR until I did 2 things...shooting in RAW and then I watched soem of Tim Grey's videos on B&H's youtube channel. They are excellent, easy to understand and made me do the switch. I bounce back and forth between the 2 almost constantly.

This is long, almost 2 hours but TOTALLY worth it

Saving for the future. I know the basics of LR but always want to learn more.
