Quick question, if I provide a part number can you tell me exactly what it includes? I had warranty claim and had my motor 'replaced' but I'm curious if its a reman and what all the components were that came with it.

I can tell you based off of experience, typically reman GM units are long blocks. Occasionally they'll come with a little more, but usually it's block, heads, oil pan,oil pump, front cover, balancer

If you get me your VIN I can pull both the reman and new p/ns

Will do. I do know the original motor is an LC9 and whatever they put back in was ~$4,900

That price sounds about right for a reman, considering its probably list priced around $3800. And I'd almost guarantee that they put a LC9 back in bc warranty is tied to VIN which. Typically new and remans have the same 3y/100k warranty

It's a 2011 Chevy Silverado 1500 Z71 4x4 and the repair was covered under warranty. If we had bought it instead of it being a warranty replacement it would have had the 3yr/100k warranty, but since it was covered it only came with a 12mo/12k warranty. I should be getting the truck back this afternoon, so I'll send you the vin and the part number so we can know for sure.
