Picked a multimeter up, now just to check it all. Can I test at the plug on the truck? Or do I need to open up the insulation on the wires on the harness?
Finally got the hyperflash solved, but still have an issue. When the parking lights are off and you turn on the turn signal, the correct side flashes full, but the other side flashes the rear ring of leds. Is this normal? Here's a video I took if I didn't explain it well enough.
VLEDs are the only switchbacks I'll ever purchase for that reason exactly. All other brand switchbacks I had were shit. VLEDs hooked up once and never had to mess with them again
Quick update:
I messed around with the resistors again tonight and I'm confident that the bulbs are the issue. With all the resistors hooked up, there is hyperflash with the lights off. With one resistor per side, they hyperflash with the bulbs on.
These are the bulbs I am using. They have 15 LEDs per bulb.
With that said, what is the correct bulb to use? How many LEDs per bulb?
Next time I pull them out I'll test without the bulbs and see if they still hyperflash. If they do, then I'll have to mess with the wiring until it works I guess.
Quick update - this is definitely an issue with the bulbs. I took them out and the hyperflash was gone. Probably going to go with some of the chrome halogen bulbs for now since I can't justify spending $100+ on four bulbs.
I was told that on the nnbs gmc there had to be two resistors on each side. Each side only has one for me and no hyperflash and running vleds switchbacks too. The right side has been acting up. Sometimes it won't hyperflash other time its three blinks and takeoff.
