dude ragged on me when i went to pick up my sister about "why would you lift a 2wd" then proceeded to ask why I have "red instead of orange tail lights" "where did my orange in my headlights go" "why I would rice out my truck" and if it was for sale. I gave him a business card from a company i worked for 3 years ago and told him to call as its a company truck.

ok sorry boys it's been a while. Well shit seriously hit the fan this summer. about 2 weeks after my last post my old lady and I decided to go our own ways. It was rough. spent the summer shopping around for a house and finally bought one back in Aug. Just now I am getting setteled in. Good news is this place has a garage. Bad news is it's tiny. Truck will barley fit but it will fit. I will have to back it out to work on it.
As for plans not much thought has been given but I'm thinking doing the HD conversion with GMC stock 20's but people around here want $600+ for old beatup pitted stockers. I have all winter though to think about what I want to do. Obviously my budget now is just above nothing. FML.

Clean, Simple Wheel. I couldnt find anything else I liked clean and simple, reasonably priced. Only regret, Is I kind of wish Id gone with 24s....

Well FINALLY got a reply back last night. GOing to pick these up tonight after exams. I agree with everyone that they are played out. ESP here in Ontario. Pretty much EVERYONE runes either BOSS or AE rims. But if they are what he claims they are it's a steal at $1500. I did some pricing and to buy that setup new in Canada is over $3000.

Time to start ordering other parts so I am ready to dig in to it come May.

FML!!!! Went to take a look with cash in hand... 90% tread (6000miles) my ass! under 50% tread left so I had to walk away from them. I'm gonna keep an eye out for some nicer 22's in 265/35/40.

While studying for exams though I did find this:

It's an 01 chevy 2500HD with 320,000km (192,000miles). Dudes asking $1800 for it with safety and E test. I'm thinking HD front end and LQ4 swap for that price then part out the rest. Might break even.

hopefully sunday gonna go see it. Hoping it wasn't a plow truck but prob was. Considering I was gonna pay $600 just for the HD front end I'd be stupid not to buy this. I could always put HD on my sig truck...

I'm more of a diesel guy figure I can do typical bolt ons, headers, mild cam, EFI tuning, stall and have a decent engine if she isn't to wore out.

little update:

Went to look at 2500HD. Very uneventful. Showed up to the "shop". It was a 10X10 garden shed with a wooden frame off the back wrapped in plastic. Inside where three young lads who were high as kites. I asked about the truck and no one seemed to give a shit. I got a speech about how they are building a pro mod S10. I saw what they were building and I could build something better with pipe cleaners, popsicle sticks and Aylmer’s glue. Finally talked the owner into letting me look at the truck. He takes me out back and the truck is in 10" of mud and filled with junk top to bottom inside and out. I truck was a heep. The pic he sent of box was of one side and said it needed some body work. The other side had a fucking 1'X1' hole ripped out of it! Ad said rockers are rusting. Rockers? There was no such fucking thing. They were completely rotted out. Drivers do pretty much fell off. Only top pin was left. I had no use for this stuff anyways so I asked to start it. I did and the thing pukes out white smoke and knocks like a diesel! I don't know if it was because it's Christmas but EVERY SINGLE light on dash was lit like a Christmas tree. So I'm getting a little ticked right now but everything I wanted but the motor was mint so I figured I got this... So we start discussing price. It was advertised for $1800 and we agreed on $1500 sight unseen. I started convo with "Well this truck is nothing like advertised and we agreed on $1500 but this isn't a $1500 truck. What’s the lowest u will go?" He started blabbing about he has a lot of guys who want it and are just gathering up cash. Once again I asked his lowest price and he had the nerve to say "$1800 is the price. It's s strong running truck and can tow anything. Actually I really don't even want to sell it." I lost it. Mid sentence "GO FUCK YOUR HAT!" and I walked away. Looking back on it, it wasn't a smart move but I was pissed. He was so stoned he's prob still standing there trying to process what just happened.

Now for the good news. Before going to deal with Le Douche, I stopped and ripped out an interior from a 99 Silverado Z71. This truck was CLEAN! Old couple owned it since new, had uber low Km and never saw a winter. His daughter bought it about 2 weeks ago #Sorry didn't see daughter so no creeper pics#, and she had it for 4 days and pulling out of drive going to school got smoked by a car. Insurance wrote it off. I wish I needed more stuff cuz this truck was clean. A true shame. BUT my gain. Only thing that went wrong was when pulling out dash somehow some of the paint flaked off. Haven't decided what to do about that. Thinking might paint dash Copper to match truck. Pics below:
