Def not quiet when i step into it, i guess I havent posted an exhaust clip since i installed the heads - it SCREAMS now and im not a huge fan. I love the idle, but above 2300 it sounds like a high schoolers exhaust. Im thinking of going for 3" from the cat back with two mufflers, would be deeeeeeeepppp.
Post a vid of above 2300. I wanna hear it. Been thinking about that muffler paired with a dynomax bullet
Been awhile since an update on the cammed worktruck, nothing has changed really. Almost to 170k now, got it in June of 2011 with 108k :embarassed:, only gunna keep piling on the miles, doing about 2,500mi per month on it lately. Most likely will be up for sale this time next year. Cleaned it up for the Holidays, heres a shot from the warehouse.
Plans for early 2015 are basically to maintain its current shape:
- Re-polish wheels and bumpers
- Add a legit 14" muffler under the cab to quiet it down some more (12" bullet didnt help...at all)
- Re-tint side windows 20%, its all peeling and/or scratched
- Detail in and out, fix a few minor scratches and scuffs from work, get road tar off of the fenders
- Replace headlights housings with new clears or OEM style, not sure yet
- Fix front cover oil leak and re-tune for 87 gas to sell

Still the same cam you bought off of me? And did you ever do anything with the heads? Can't remember lol. I'd love to own it. Maybe if I get a real person jerb next year I can snag it from ya.
Yeah, still the 212/218 low lift. Added 243 heads and a 2400 stall converter. Such a fun truck. Ill def post it for sale everywhere before trading it in, itll have 190k+ on it by then though lol. DFW to see it stay in the CGM family!
Ah I thought you did heads or shaved yours or something. Miles don't scare me much, even less so from a southern truck. I'll see what happens after school is done in the spring.
wheels, tires and lift will be gone though, Centerlines are staying with me to put on the '14+
