Khaos' RCSB Thread

More progress today.

Got the catch can on and hoses routed, rad hoses and coolant tank hoses hooked up, figured out a ground wire issue I was having, pulled the tune off to send to Richard to have him work his magic. I should have that before the weekend is over.

All that's left is: drill the intake tube for the pass side valve cover to vent to, put on the drive and ac belts, fill with coolant, fill with oil, exhaust, plugs, wires, load the tune, prime the motor, and she's good to go. Really getting excited now that it's all coming together.

Only pic I took because I was having trouble getting hptuners to connect to the truck the last few times I tried earlier this week lol

Almost done. Exhaust is hooked up, plugs and wires are in.

My dad and I dicked around with bleeding the clutch for over an hour and the pedal won't come up. Any suggestions? We're bleeding the system like you bleed brakes, which is what the Haynes manual said to do. Just a pain in the dick and I had clutch fluid all over me by the end of it.

Other than that just have to put the belts on, fill with oil and slap a filter on, coolant, load the tune, and pray it works.

That's the only way I've ever bled a clutch. Pump it up, slight pressure on the pedal, open the bleed, slowly push to the floor and leave it on the floor, close bleed, pump back up, repeat. The slave may have bit the dust

Everything is new aside from the master.

Gonna try again tomorrow. Read online of guys having issues with these things and them taking forever to bleed. Looks like I'll need to get more fluid
This is what we like hear..... progress!!!!!
Oh yeah! About damn time!

we used a tech 2 to bleed my brakes where it cycles the abs to bleed, worked awesome and saved shitloads of time. maybe they have something similar or the clutch?

try a vacuum bleeder like they sell for doing brakes.

I've used a mighty vac hand vac pump before

We tried a vacuum bleeder the other day with no real results. Did some reading and found that people have had to bench bleed the master, then gravity bleed the line and it's good to go. So that's gonna be my next move I guess. Sucks cus I didn't wanna take all of that off but oh well. Should be minty fresh when I'm done.
You gonna bring it to seaside or ok?

All depends on work. Can only take unpaid time off this year, so trying to limit that as much as possible.

Bench bled the master yesterday.

Disconnected the pushrod from the back of the pedal, disconnected the quick connect line and pulled it from the firewall. Put it in the vice with the pushrod at a 45* angle downward. Then just started pumping with a full reservoir and it was pushing air like a mofo. Took about 10 minutes to get it all out and at that point the pushrod was solid. Reinstalled it in the truck, gravity bled the line and the pedal feel was perfect. Crazy that the bench bleed is what did it.

Got my belts on, exhaust clamps tightened, oil filter primed and on, and oil filled. Then I had to leave it, had to dd the gf at her friend's bday.

All I have left is fill the coolant, load the tune, prime the motor, and away we go. Working today so either tonight or tomorrow should be the day.
