JoshRA 2013 RCSB

Alright dudes, trying to figure out something small and simple and want some opinions. Trying to figure out color to paint the bowtie... The front end at some point will be fully colormatched with black grille inserts instead of the chrome ones. Headlights will be cleared soon and wheels are undecided. They will be some sort of factory wheel not in chrome or done in black. Most likely polished or may try comp grey but not sure yet. Choices i've come up with is: fully colormatched, colormatched with black outline or comp grey outline, billet, full black or full comp grey (if i go with comp grey wheels). Kinda leaning more towards the black since it will match with the windows, rear step pads, grille inserts, and mirrors (minus when i colormatch the mirror caps).

Lemme get some opinions on what to go with or if you have a better idea of what might look better.

Heres a pic i took this morning to give a idea.

Ya the valance will stay black for sure. Just gonna colormatch grille, and all bumper minus the valance. So you say billet bowtie. Dont think it will blend in to much with this silver paint?

I would do polished billet or else color matched but leave the black outline.
And when you say "leave the valance black" are you referring to the very bottom or the part below the bumper bar that is silver right now? I would color match that silver part and leave the very bottom black.

Yes, the lower chin lip valance piece will stay black and the bar that is silver now will be colormatched. Its either colormatch that or find a black one. And i like colormatching it and leaving the black outline as well. May lean towards that at first cause im sure i'll atleast get my front end painted before wheels since to me that is a bigger priority vs wheels.

Yea I meant the silver part. I think that's what they call it at the dealer. Polished billet bowtie is what I have and I like it. Didn't know it was polished until I used adams metal polish on it

Bump... Got a question. Whats everyones opinion as far as next thing to do. Either looking at getting my handles and mirror caps colormatched or getting some cleared headlights from Phil on gmfs? I know to the average car person colormatched handles and mirror caps would be good but to the person that pays attention to detail more then cleared lights would be best. Both will be around the same price. Figured i'd ask and get some feedback since i cant seem to figure out what i want to do next myself.

Handles and caps first IMO. Nice clean truck man.

Thanks bud. I was slightly leaning on the handles and mirror caps side but was not sure. And thanks bud. I really like this color, should look real good once i get the front end colormatched and handles and caps and the rear bumper done too.

Love my cleared lights. Would personally do that first even though color matching would be a great touch as well.

Very welcome man. Most people don't notice the little things but that's one thing I hated about my truck, the black handles. The headlights not being clear I hardly ever noticed.

I like cleared lights a lot but im trying to see the bigger picture and which will give me the best and biggest difference between the two.

I always notice the headlights not being clear but no one else does that has nothing to do with the modding scene. I think i'll go with the handles and mirrors just cause it will give a whole new look and help bring it away from the "stock" look and towards the more "modded" look.

Had shit luck with both, the 06 and the mazda when clearing the lights and hate doing things twice so im going to pay someone that has better luck than me at doing it.
