Not so much that they are a limited edition so much as a low production number. IIRC 2,200 in '99 and even less in '00.
FRC's were made '99 and '00 and were the predecessor for the '01 Z06 which took the FRC and improved it with the alum frame and hand built LS6. All Z06's are fixed roof cars though but not considered "FRC" by GM.
Ohhh ok. Didn't know frcs were only 99/00 either. But the most common c5 around here is a fixed roof coupe whether it's "FRC" or not idk. Of course, the majority of those coupes are also z06s

A lot of people call their Z06's FRC's because they are all "fixed roof" and most just don't know that the "real" fixed roof coupe was an actual trim level produced by GM for autocross and track racing. It has several changes that make it lighter and handle better than a base LS1 C5 in 99 & 00.

it was too far gone needed sub frame work and about 5k in body work and paint. so in total it would have cost me like 10k to keep it.
I LOVE that body style so much. Last coupe they made. I want to find a clean shell and sti swap one.dont usually like this body style, and dnw right hand drive, but i mean, look at it, just look at it
