Only reason id say dyno with sam is they are local and if I need anything I can swing by.

With black bear if I need aything I have to wait until they come to town or buy one of there autocals, wich would put me above 500 as with sam

nah, you have them make the adjustment, PP them a deposit, they send you PCM, when they get your old PCM back, they refund the money minus shipping.

Would rather do local dyno tune if you're doing autocal option since it would be cheaper and in person tune is always nice. Plus dyno numbers are cool lol.

Autocal or dyno imo. Personally, I'd go dyno because they're local.

The dyno guy doesn't do street tunes for less?

Just got off the phone with Sam Miller from Advanced Modern Performance. Going to run $500 for a full on Dyno Tune.

Now heres my question.
Is it worth the extra money for a full on dyno tune VS say going with balckbear where theres no dyno involved but only runs $300

Seeing as my truck has very minimal mods I dont know if its going to make a difference
on your truck, no. And last time I spoke with Sam, he said he did not do free retunes, and getting ahold of him is a PITA. He is a good tuner, one of the best in North Texas. James Karger is good too. I'd rather pay $300 for a local tuner or BBP, or get the autocal so I could use it to log and as a scanner. Your truck is slow, no numbers needed to be honest.

Now, if you wanted a tad more power out of a tune, then Sam would be the best route (or James) but for the extra $200+ dollars, I don't think they will net enough to justify the cost.

If he in fact does free retunes, and sticks to it, then that's a good option. But a dyno pull will cost more, and he for sure won't do a free retune if you cam the truck, or do big modifications. Unless he's changed things since we last spoke.

Also, I never had any issues waiting on BBP to come back as my truck was practically stock minus exhaust shit. Shouldn't really need much of a retune. I just had him adjust my trans pressure the second time. The third time I went just for shits and giggles to check over my tune and hang out.

I would prefer a local street tuner personally, too bad Jesse won't do it. I am trying to get him to tune my G8.

Yea I feel ya. They said re tunes wouldnt be anything unless I went from n/a to power adder

I got rid of my BBP tune for a local tune simply becuase the wait time, no phone number, having to email back and forth. was just a headache for what it cost to me. and I have an autocal at that. Was a good tune. But when I cammed, fuck dicking around 3 weeks emailing etc for a retune....
