Here's some more info on the Terra'sUsed tire prices are crazy.... And, so are new prices TBH. I'm the "used tire King".... Lol. The right deal is out there on used tires if you can wait.... I only have $290 TOTAL on all three sets of my used 33s! 285/75/16 BFGs, 33/12.50/17 MTZ, and 305/55/20 Trail Grapplers.
I used to be a BFG fan.... And, I do still like them. They've never done me wrong! But, I wouldn't run them in a 285/70. They just run kinda short compared to other 285s/brands out there.
Those Toyo MTs are shot. I wouldn't pay $200 for those. Not really worth paying to have them mounted/balanced.
Those Terra Grapps look like they have some life left.... Kinda hard to tell in the pics?!?
I have to admit, in the past I went a little beyond my means with mods, which is one of the reasons I lifted back up. A solid wheel/tire setup was my only other true plan for the truck and I was fine with waiting on tires, but at the rate these wheels are bending, I don't have much other option than to get something different unless I want to completely trash the rest of them.I don't mean to sound rude, but if you need to finance tires, perhaps it's time to sell the truck and get a less expensive hobby. Don't do it for the 'gram.
I think one of the main reasons it towers over them is the fact that they are 31s. From the front, they seem to fit well.Oh, and your truck doesn't look to tower the tires as bad as I thought in my mind.... :hmm: So, maybe a set of beefy 33s wouldn't be too bad. Most 285s run 32" tall mounted. The 295s were listed as 33.1" tall online. Guess they were 32.5-32.75 mounted.
I appreciate the offer but I'm sure shipping would kill the deal. It's gonna be ~$100 to have some light wheels shipped.Ay real talk. I might can get you a hook-up on some tires in the morning. I gotta remember what size they are. That day that I washed/waxed my boss's truck, we put a new set of tires on there because he didn't like how loud the previous tires are. He kept the old ones because he's a hoarder. Idk how much shipping would be but I could probably get them on the cheap. Just an idea. I posted a pic in the live thread of the truck when I was washing it. 2 Fridays ago. I know they at least have half tread. Probably a 33. They could be shipped freight from our office since we have at least 2 freight deliveries a day along with FedEx and UPS.

Not sure what they would charge, I guess it's worth asking. I know some people could care less about having sensors in them, but I like having them. Only thing that sucks is shipping is longer term on them. I can either get a set off eBay for $70 and maybe have them by next weekend or get a set off Amazon and have them here early next week.Guess it depends on what's most "cost effective"!?! How much are they gonna charge to break down the 22s to get the sensors out? VS. Buying replacement sensors?
Probably reuse what you've got if you can...
I've considered that, that way I would only have whatever their dismount fee is on top of mount/balance for the 17s.Why not sell old tires and bent wheels separate? Then you can have them do everything at the shop when you get the new ones m+b.
