Need some input. I can drive 12 hours one way and get an OEM painted steel grey, brand new oem surplus 2500HD bumper. has all brackets, lower grille, fogs, top cap, etc, EVERYTHING on the bumper for $700, plus they have the HD grille for an additional $200. OR, i can order all of the bumper and its parts, with the grille, for around $1,300 not painted. Im talking ordering original parts though, as i have had too much trouble with aftermarket fitment. So, drive 24 hours and get the bumper and grille, knowing it has smooth oem paint, but a few scratches, and pay $900. OR, sit at home, order shit for $1300, get painted.
Yeah I think they worked with me and could get it down to around $1000. But still have to get it painted.

Depends if you enjoy 24hr road trips or not, but dinging someone who's a good painter around here is really hit or miss

Well, would be going in my dad's truck, he doesn't mind it. We'd just switch drivers and sleep, go get it and come back. I can't find a painter that I'm satisfied with. Well for my color at least. Always seems a shade off. That why I want this bumper. It's oem paint. Plus it's all assembled. Just get the brackets made to fit the HD bumper and slap that bitch on, then I can jack off

Well on the way to Indiana to get the bumper. Will finish my headlights up when I get back and try to have my truck back together before the weekend

So my last two XSB switchback strips i need should be here in the morning. Just changed pads and rotors, heading out for dallas as soon as i seal my other light up. Hd clip will be on. I took the ocular projector shrouds and drilled holes in them, then molded clear plastic rods into the holes. Sanded them smooth with the contour of the shroud, then colormatched the shroud with some silver accents. the plastic rods act as a diffuser if you will, so the xsb strips just glow through
Really haven't driven the truck much since I got my beater. Maybe 1 or 2000 miles since July. Etched lenses just got back in today. Tried posting a pic but Tapatalk never works
