Dakota's 2008 vmax thread

As most of you already know, i got t boned back in December. The bodyshop couldnt get the truck in until Jan 17th but its done now and i picked it up this past Friday.

They did a new bedside, new taillight/harness, and a new rear bumper with new plastics. They also repainted the tailgate. Im very happy with how it turned out. Still need to roll the fender lip on the new bedside before i put the 24s back on.

Also gonna be picking up some rear tubs and some control arms with offset bushings from Dennis so i can get the alignment in spec.

Ive got a few things planned for it soon. New clear headlights, catch can, adding some kind of muffler and maybe some led headlights.

Yea im really happy with the work. They washed the whole truck, shined all of the tires and even vaccumed the inside. The customer service was great aswell. The kept me updated the whole time it was in the shop.

I put the 20s on when it went to the shop so i didnt have to worry about something happening to the 24s and i wanted to polish them up while they were off.

24s went back on a couple of days ago. Met Dennis today to get some ucas with offset bushings and some of James' old tubs so i can tub the bed. These 295/30s are close in the rear, especially with any weight in the bed.

Ignore the foggy headlight. Gonna be ordering some ebay clears really soon since Ayayron has had his for a while and hasnt had any problems. Also gotta get some new balljoints for the control arms and ill put them in and get it aligned again.

Nothing new yet. Ordered some new clear headlights last week and they were supposed to be here on the 28th but to my surprise they attempted to deliver them today. I wasn't home but I should get them tomorrow.

Took my little one out to cruise his truck yesterday so here are a few pictures. He just got it for Christmas so I haven't done too much to it yet. Debadged it, dechromed the rear bumper, removed the red from the grille emblem and cleared the headlights so far. It'll get lowered and some custom wheels soon.

Thanks dogg! I agree. It needed new headlights and leds bad. I think I'm gonna try to find the lower bumper billet piece like Jerad used to have in it and then I'll probably be done with the exterior for a while.

So were 10 days into eBay lights and chill and all is good so far. I sealed the shit out of them before I put them in and they've done really well with all of the rain we've had.

I ordered a lower bumper billet grille the other day. Got it in last night and put it on the truck today. Unfortunately the billet bar spacing doesn't match. It needs about 3 less bars. I went ahead and installed it for shits and giggles but I'll end up buying the right one as soon as I can find it.

Also picked up a toolbox for the bed today. Been looking for a mini truck box so it would sit low. Found one on fb today for 125 and picked it up for 100. I'll paint it or rhino line it eventually but Its nice to have all my shit in one place.
