Why do you paint it?

It's not paint. It's black silicone spray. The same shit you would spray on an exhaust wrap.

I sprayed it black cuz the chrome was ugly and it'll reduce a little bit of heat cuz this stuff is good up to 1000 degrees I think and also acts as an insulator.

I did that but it looked shitty. This acts like a coating when not used on the wrap and is designed to keep temperatures down. Also looks better than the wrap.

Hopefully it does keep a little heat down lol

I had a metal cai tube on mine but once I realized how hot that bastard was getting, I found a k&n tube on a wrecked silvy at the salvage yard for $6, so I sold that pos metal tube lol

Mine was wrapped with a carbon fiber looking wrap but it just looked shitty. When I wrapped it, I didn't spray silicone spray on it.

This spray was left over from when I wrapped and sprayed the exhaust on my 4 wheeler.
