New updates.
The other night I got lined up to paint my front and rear bumper plastics, repaint the one tow mirror, my interior plastics, and a couple things for my Dad's '08.
Recently worked on getting the new painted lower valance put on the front bumper. Polished up the fog light caps some. Need to do some more.
Yesterday I worked on disassembling my rear bumper. Got down to the frame, cleaned it up and painted it with some undercoating. The new 'impact bar' is laying on the ground in the background.
Sprayed the inside of the new chrome bumpers with some undercoating. Reason I did this is because I've seen little dents caused in these bumpers from rocks and shit hitting them. So, a little something to protect them. Better than nothing.
Chrome caps bolted on using 1/4"x3/4" stainless steel bolts and stainless nuts and washers.
The chrome bumper caps and the impact bar I bought from an online store on ebay as a package deal. They went together pretty nicely. One thing I noticed, the impact bar didn't have all the holes drilled for the bumper caps. I think it missed two holes per side. I didn't bother with them since they were on good enough. I'm also having trouble getting the spare tire tool door thing back on. I think the hole on that impact bar is cut completely wrong. Need to figure something out there.
A couple things to point out on my rear bumper, I sprayed the area on the impact bar where the trailer plug in goes with black and some clear instead of the semi-gloss paint that is on that bumper bar. That's one thing that bugs me when someone does painted plastics especially with a different color on the NNBS bumpers. I also painted the spare tire tool door at that same time (not pictured). Chrome license plate lights came from LMC Truck. Only place I could find them. Lastly, the spikes I ordered for my license plate.
Lastly, the new interior color.
