lol, now you have the correct through process. in reality, you can get a 5.3 and it will be a big upgrade. the swap is all the same except your stock tranny will hold up better too.
Going from a 5.7 to a 5.3 just seems like sacrilege. Go big or go home. Already sourced a few 6.0s on craigslist. Time to start being a prostitute to pay for it!
yea but a 5.3 has like 50 more hp or more depending on what year. and get 5-8mpg better than the 5.7.
