Alecks' hopes and dreams thread.

All 600 is gonna do, without further wet sanding, is gonna make them hazy

I felt like that's what was happening lmao. Yeah I'll hit it with lighter sanding tomorrow. Just trying to make them decent and clear them for Noe

This. 600 leaves deep scratches.
800 covers those with less deep scratches. 1000 does that with the 800....1500 does that with the 1000....and 2000 does that with 1500.

It's like there's a pattern lol

I always end with 2000 and buff from there and they usually look Damn near brand new

600 is crazy low for headlights in decent shape. Often times you can get away with 1000 to start then 1500 then a good compound that can remove 1500 marks like Shine Supply classic cut. If your gonna use a OTC compound I'd do 1000,1500,2000 compound then polish just to be safe Megs Ultimate or m101 if u can find it are good otc compounds

Dat custom 1009 grit

But word. Your lights didn't need that low. I said what I did based on my previous work for people that had headlights that looks like they were painted yellow

Couldn't sleep, installed 6" single rows so I can actually see when I back up. Wiring is tucked away, they're mounted so high you can't see them but low enough to see everything I need to see and looks great and matches reverse leds in my tail lights
