1999 GMC RCSB 4x4 Build..4/6, motor work and much more

when I did the tahoe 6.0 swap, i never had to touch it. Thats why i got confused for a bit. I dont know maybe the motor I got for the tahoe already had a different one in it?

I think it was a 2002 now that i think of it. so that probably explains the sane style of connector

hell ya. Luckily it hasnt been too bad. Buying all new sensors and little parts like that are killing me lol..$50 here and $50 there. Should be set for a while though!

basically.

Got everything underneath wired up last night, headers went in no problem, remounted my trans Xmember. Just using the stock one for now and moved it back and re drilled. Seems like it should work just fine.

Just waiting on Justin to email me my new tune. Injectors should be here today so I can get the intake mounted up and everything hooked up on the top end. At the very least I should have it turning over tonight, injectors or not.

Wheels are taking forever to ship, they wont be here until next Tuesday it looks like. Thats alright, might as well burn off whats on there first lol

not yet, gonna get the headers fully bolted in tonight and then put that in. Rear driveshaft fit perfect with shortening it 1 7/8".

From what I could tell, I should be fine. They hug nice and close to the frame, leaving enough room for the driveshaft. Like I mentioned, I didnt have any problems with my tahoe. I had to knock the weight off the shaft, but thats only because I didnt notice it until it was all bolted on and I didnt have time to pull it all off and dent the pipe in a bit. Should find out tonight though.

Getting closer. Got the exhaust all in, trans cooler lines made and run, intake on, everything hooked up wire wise. Front driveshaft fit perfectly (from a 2008 Dmax). Had to dent in the headers just slightly to clear the Ujoint cap bolts.

Got my tune from Justin yesterday, so hopefully starting it up today! My new dipstick tube that I bought broke in my hands. It was rusted from the inside so idk what was up with that. Once I have that, should be able to fill it with fluids

Nice workbench haha

Its on the road. Got it running yesterday and drove it around tonight. Pretty easy on it since im on a fairly basic tune, but everything works. Its pretty scary fast. I dont think I got above 40% throttle and that was enough to whip it around going about 25. Need to get the exhaust finished (wanting to run 3" all the way back to dump behind the bumper). Ill work on a video or 2.

:success:

Awesome man, I've been quietly watching the build on here and pt.net for a while. It'll be interesting to see how its street manners are after the tune is solid.

It should be pretty decent manner wise. I guess im used to a 3k stall in my heavy tahoe, but the 3600 didnt seem bad at all, especially in a lighter truck. Once the idle is dialed in it should be good to go. RPM drop between gears was minimal in what little throttle I was giving it. 40-90 was pretty crazy and I dont think I got above 50% throttle. Should be pretty fun lol.

I ordered the fittings and line from Summit. Super easy to put together.
