06 GMC Build - I guess????

Do the eskys imo. It will break up all of that purple. Certain colors look good with full cm handles others with eskys. I think yours would benefit from them.

Flares look good, now clean her up and take some real pictures! I know you're capable of it :crazy:

I like CC's and RC's with esky's. EC's with the CM but it would look good either way

No. Front needs lift. I would tear the shit out of a lowered truck. Evidence why will come when I return from my trip this weekend.


I think I might try the eskys, ever other truck this color I've seen has been just colormatched, I agree that I think the chrome would help break up the purple alittle more. Its ALOT of purple to take in.Plus I can get the SS covers for like 12 bucks so whats the harm in trying them
 
Blower motor/resistor shit out on me this morning. in perfect timing too. Was 30* out coming home from camping with barely any heat. it was awesome!! going to see if the GMC dealership will fix it free or I'll just do it myself.
 
Mine intermittently goes out, I just shut the truck off, and restart it, and it blows again. It's done it like 5 times in the last two years. Eventually I know the blend door will completely go out on me...
 
Oh see mine stayed on high with the truck off and the key out and the doors open. So yeah...its fucked. plus it only comes on low now if I turn it on. So I get that to look forward too.

This afternoon I noticed a nice big rub/scratch in one of my flares already. its either from gravel or debris on the highway. Oh well, it was just a matter of time.
 
I know right?! I should get good pictures this weekend of it. Pending how much the rain washes off it the next three days and how dirty it gets getting to a fishing spot saturday. I do like the flares painted though. I think it needs the esky handles now the more i look at it to break it up some.
 
The flares look sweet painted. I also agree on the esky's to break it up a little bit. GMC 20's with some 33's would look sick on there.
 
Yeah there is a truck i see coming home with polished GCM 20s on it....sooo good. Those with some coopers would be sweeet.

Got the new blower motor control module, not a resistor. The Automatic Climate control makes things difficult. The dealer knew what was up but the autoparts stores have no notes of info about the fix. Essentially the ATC version stock has a 3 wire plug, then a seperate wire going to the fan. the fix, which comes from GM with a service paper, includes a new module with a 5 pin harness that you need to cut and splice in place of the 3 pin. AHHHH!! Im thinking of making a copy of it and handing it off to the O Rielly's guy since he was actually very helpful and knew very well the gm blower resistor fails. So I should have heat again tonight! I know my 18 month old will definitly appreciate it!
 
Well if the blower resistor goes out yes, wish you dont have the auto. However, in the 5 years I've had this truck I have never once used it. All I need in a vehicle is heat. I use the a/c maybe 2 weeks out of the year and thats just if I have my daughter with me.

The rain started to do a decent job washing the truck, then all the leaves fell, so its still all kinds of dirty. Pictures sometime i guess.

I also went to get the handle covers to make my fake esky handles, i get to the store and notice they are a stainless steel, with a very slight brushed finish. Well screw that, now I have to find some chrome ones which youd thinking living in a major city we'd have lots of auto customizing places, there are 2, 1's an hour away and not worth going to, the other is super close but they order everything. so amazon I go i guess.

Well, for $25 I say go for it. Worst case scenario you don't put the tailgate handle on.
