05 CCSB slow build

Ewww no. Spikes only look good on 18 wheelers imo. And some billets but definitely not oem wheels.

New steering rack is installed. ...crazy how loose the inner tie rods were and I got a nice power steering fluid shower when I took a boot off the drivers side. I guess the seals were so bad that ir was leaking inside

This thing was $157 plus 150 core...well worth the money. I swapped out the bushings tho, I put some Daystar polyurethane bushings pn KG06001BK...really tightens up the steering feels

Also, 2 or 3 weeks ago I went up to Big Bear Lake, CA....elevation 8k+ and started at about 1k.

One the way back down, we got stuck behind some SLOOOOOOWWWWWWWW cars and I was really on my brakes. The next day the rear started squeaking and the front started clunking.

Pads were a lil worn

Front shims were a lil tired too

I ended up ordering new ACDelco rotors PN 177-902 n pads PN 171-659. I had new shims for the front, I just didnt bother swapping them last time I did the front brakes...I just slapped them on and my front noise was gone. Truck is quiet af now...no more brake noise and the new ps fluid quieted the pump down after all the air in the system was purged out. :pepper:

not a tie rod flip...its just a heim end kit. So no more balljoint style end...this is supposed to be stronger and its height adjustable to help get rid of/minimize bumpsteer.

Goal is to have the tie rods adjusted to where Im close to that intersect point. I dont have the tools needed to properly tune the height, but trial n error will get me close.

Also got the swaybar bushings on, fit perfectly....didnt have time for the end links, but thats up next

i got em from jared....idk how much he paid

Just from the drive this morning, the steering felt nice n tight compared to the old tie rod ends i had on there. I havent played with the height of the rods yet and how I have em now, theyre close to stock height but I hit some repair patches on the hwy that would normally make my steering wheel wobble a lil...def moved a lot less. Again, it couldve been the old ends just being worn, but these things are good so far.

these arent the best, but theyll do for now. Replacements will definitely be 3 piece FK

the squeaking isnt a quality issue....its just the nature of heims because theyre exposed and self lubricating. The wearing out part tho  that is
