05 CCSB slow build

got tired of the catch can fixed elbow so ordered me one of these and the barb fitting for it

Had to remove the line to be able to remove the can cap, not anymore with that swivel...its just like the one I drilled and taped my oil fill cap for but 1/4"....oil fill cap is 1/8" :nerd:

swivel fitting is in and catch can has lil more oil in there....both copper sponge/wool thingies have oil down the middle and no signs of oil being pulled out to the sides (Back into the intake). Id consider this catch can a success

:success:

Engine oil cooler has been on for a week now and I got no leaks, no drop in oil psi. I still haven't figured out the oil temp PID for my Torque app, gotta get on that.

Fgt steering rack is making some grinding/popping noise when I turn, tracked down the noise to a mounting bolt...one that holds the rack on. I ordered poly bushings and will install this weekend. 156k miles is showing now :nono:

so these VCs are leaking :pissed:

looks like they slide around and the gasket isn't gasketizing no more...so theyre coming off and Im gonna have someone weld up some tabs to prevent that from happening again. :nono:

I haven't checked my CC but Im sure theres quite a bit in there...I checked it within a couple hundo miles and u guys seen how much was in there. Im not gonna drain it until its time to change my oil...I gotta get a lil hose or something hooked up to it so its easy to drain n not make a mess.

Sucks about the vc's because they look great. Any reason they'd slide around? I'm assuming it is the same number of bolts and torque specs...

they slide around cuz they don't have any tabs to keep them in place like OEM VCs do.

You can see the lip all around the top of the cover in this pic...keeps the VC from moving around. I torqued them to the same specs but its the fact that the covers have no lip/guide/flange thing that lets them move...specially with the weight of the coils on them
