I've been putting this off, but finally got some time to fix a few things I've been wanting to fix. Where are the guys that have one, hooking up your kill switch to? I've read where people just hook it up to their fuel pump, but where at? I don't want to just run it on top of the fuse box, but not exactly sure which wire to splice into.

Or if there's somewhere else, where is another good place to run it?
 
you could tap the starter trigger wire off of the ignition, that way it won't even crank if someone tries to steal it. Or you can do the fuel pump or ignition wires to the coils if you want to hear them try to start it.

Thanks for the input. I was going to tie it into the fuel pump, but I don't know which wire it is. Guess I could get my tester out and try that.
 
I've never got too involved with the wire-harness on the silvy, but you might be able to pull a wiring diagram somewhere. If not, put the key in with ignition on, and pull fuses one at a time till you hear the fuel pump stop.

I always do it off the ECM connector. This picture shows the connector, its number 9. Green whitre wire. Cut the wire then try to start the truck, it wont, and you know you have the right one
 
your looking at the fuse block, you need to be at the ECM connector

Good info here, I'm gonna look this up later cause I've been wanting to install a kill switch, lots of lifted trucks have been getting stolen around me

I feel like I'd still have my RCSB if I'd have done this back when I wanted to... Unless of course they flat bedded it.
 
instead of doing a keyed switch, what i would do is the following or some combination there of:
install this in the activation wire to the relay, such that your switch takes minimal current.

option 1 install magnetic switch somewhere on the dash with piece of steel surrounding it.
get magnet made with picture of you and lady friend on it. When you want truck to start magnet must be over switch to start. don't want truck to start then throw magnet in glove box. in case of emergencies run into vatozone/hd/oreillys and buy anything with a magnet.

option 2 acquire ignition cylinder or door cylinder keyed same as your vehicle, modify such that key can be removed in 2 positions. position 1 wired such that relay activates, position 2 wired such that relay doesnt activate.

option 3 combine option 1 and 2, use magnetic switch as primary and keyed switch in case of magnetic switch failure

option X would be to use a NFC receiver on your center console that requires your phone to be in place for the vehicle to start.

Lastly, good luck trying to flatbed a truck that's laying frame without attracting a whole lot of attention.
